Fabio Aru Visits Kazakhstan Pavilion Along with His Teammates
Fabio Aru, winner of three stages in the
Giro d’Italia and the White Jersey for best young athlete, visited the
Kazakhstan Pavilion along with his teammates and managers of
Team Astana, the Kazakh road cycling team.
"Expo 2015 is a major event for the whole world," said Aleksandr Vinokourov, former cyclist and sports manager of Astana. "For this, we are proud to celebrate here, the latest victories of our team in the Giro d’Italia". The cycling team marched up on stage of the Kazakh Pavilion as a representation of the best that is offered from this Asian country in Expo 2015. In the aftermath of the victory, Fabio Aru and his teammates visited the pavilion and tasted some of the national dishes. "To young people who want to learn more about the cycling lifestyle, I recommend a healthy and well-rounded diet", said the Sardinian cyclist. "For us it is important to have food that is tasty and nutritious. For example, the night before the race we eat a nice plate of pasta with meat or fish and a slice of fruit tart. It’s a complete diet." Fabio Aru is happy with the results and finished in second place on the podium of the Giro d’Italia , but he is still uncertain about his participation in the Tour de France.
