Monday July 6, as part of the Feeding Knowledge program, in the Auditorium of Palazzo Italia at Expo Milano 2015, anawards ceremony was staged for 18 Best Practices for Sustainable Development (BPSD) projects, winners of an international competition for Food Security projects. The ceremony involved the heads of the 18 projects selected from various countries (seven African, six Asian, three South American and two European) and the financing organizations. The event was moderated by the journalist Maria Soave, and included speeches by Giuseppe Sala, Chief Government Commissioner of Expo Milano 2015, by Robert Fillon, Commissioner General of the Principality of Monaco’s Pavilion, representing Prince Albert II of Monaco, by Maurizio Martina, Italy’s Minister of Agriculture, Food and Forestry, by Maria Cruz Díaz Álvarez, President of the World Association of Agronomists, by Luisa Collina, of the Milan Polytechnic, Cosimo Lacirignola, Secretary General of CIHEAM and Cristina Tajani, Department Head in the Milan Municipality.
