A meeting dedicated to energy for life in an unusual key, offered by
Sahaja Yoga, with Indian music and the magnification of feelings of joy and peace that can reconnect the world and all people, spreading peace. This was the goal of the
“Music & Fulfillment” meeting held at the
Bio-Mediterranean Cluster at
Expo Milano 2015.
“The
Bio-Mediterranean is one of the Clusters that has best been able to achieve the idea of integrating different countries, and when we come here we feel a positive energy,” explains
Hakim Gabriele Thurner. “Yoga means unity, integration, and what we want to celebrate through yoga is this very unity of all people.” Sahaja Yoga or “spontaneous yoga,” conceived in 1970 by
Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi, is especially suited for this because it is accessible to everyone, sharable and easily attainable.
To help in this, for the final concert in a series held at
Expo Milano 2015, the Nirmalights took the stage. This is a group of 110 children from all over the world who spread joy and global unity through Indian music and meditation workshops.
The meaning of Sahaja Yoga harmonizes with the themes of Expo Milano 2015
The initiative was created by the global
Sahaja Yoga Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi foundation, the only group from this field at
Expo Milano 2015, a group which had already held a variety of events at the Universal Exposition (in the
Biodiversity Park and in the
Triulza Farmhouse), including the
United Nations International Yoga Day, which celebrated the unity of all peoples and cultures in the world, stimulating vital energy in individuals in harmony with the
Theme of
Expo Milano 2015.
Sahaja Yoga (from the Sanskrit for “spontaneous yoga”) is a meditation method developed by
Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi in India in 1970. It is practiced in more than a hundred countries in the world and was chosen as UNESCO’s official partner for its
“Center for Peace.”
