For the entire month of August, pensioners and workers on a low income in Italy will have free access to Expo Milano 2015. Thanks to an INPS (Italy's National Institute for Social Insurance) initiative, "In agosto insieme all'Expo" (In August together at Expo), those who received an income or gross pension of less than 10,000 Euro in 2014, in August will be granted free admission to the Exhibition Site and can visit the Pavilions. Travelling to Expo Milano 2015 also becomes more convenient: indeed, Trenitalia, is offering rates discounted by 50 percent for train journeys to Milan from all over Italy. The reduction will be applied to return journeys, Frecce or Intercities with Milan or Rho Fiera Expo Milano 2015 as the destination.

The Commissioner of the Government for Expo Milano 2015 Giuseppe Sala commented: “To be really universal Expo must be accessible to everyone. For this reason, we are very happy to offer the chance for those are in retirement and workers on low incomes to visit free of charge on days in which the majority of Italians are home for the summer break. The initiative launched by INPS and the Italian state train company, Trenitalia, will allow them to enjoy the extraordinary experiences that Expo Milano 2015 offers through its thematic areas and the Pavilions of the participating countries”.
How to obtain the free ticket
The procedure on the website www.inps.it will be active from July 15. To obtain a ticket for admission to Expo Milano 2015 visitors need only have their the INPS PIN number handy and follow the procedure online. People who do not have a PIN can request one on the Institution’s website, call the toll-free number 803 164 (from Italy) or contact an INPS office.
