Unitalsi, the National Italian Union for the Transportation of Sick People to Lourdes and various international sanctuaries, today completed their very first journey atExpo Milano 2015, in an initiative also designed to test whether people with disabilities have already decided, or will decide to participate in the Universal Exposition will receive a fitting welcome.

Approximately 300 people, including volunteers, people with disabilities - many in wheelchairs – and their carers, arrived from various regions of Italy, entering the Exposition Site this morning through the various different gates.

In this way, in perfect Unitalsian style, they found that the Site is 100% suitable for people with disabilities. The many members of the delegation followed different itineraries, also giving a live commentary, with photos, videos and interviews posted on the social networks. A trip that allowed them all to unite in participating in a unique experience and to prepare themselves for the special trains, organised in collaboration withEniandAzimut, which will welcome about 2000 people in the middle of October. The President of the Italian Council of Ministers,Matteo Renzialso took part in the last phase of the journey together with the delegation, in the area in front of the Expo Centre, introduced by an exciting musical moment based on famous parts of the most beautiful Italian songs, sung byFrancesca Martini.
