The draw to decide the 2015-2016 football match schedule of the Italian Serie A took place on Monday July 27, inside the Exposition Site. During the event, Giovanni Allevi performed the new anthem of the Football League which he composed. In the presence of the managers of the 20 teams, speakers at the ceremony included Giuseppe Sala, Commissioner of the Government for Expo Milano 2015, Maurizio Beretta, President of the Serie A League, Carlo Tavecchio, president of the Italian Giuoco Calcio Federation, and Marcello Nicchi, national president of the Italian Referee Association. The ceremony was presented by Antonello Piroso and Laura Barriales.
The first time in Serie A for Frosinone and Carpi
The ceremony, also broadcast live via video, revealed the calendar of the next Serie A, which will kick off on Saturday August 22, with the first matches of the season, ending on May 15. Frosinone and Carpi are taking part for the first time in the history of the Serie A Championship, while this year, Bologna will return to the top category.
Serie A will start immediately with alliance challenges
Fiorentina – Milan is the key match of the first Serie A round. But as early as on the second day, the championship challenge will really get down to business with the match in the Olimpico Stadium between Roma and Juventus, while the Madonnina derby between Inter and Milan is scheduled to take place on September 13.
