A wine that comes from years of traditions carried forth by the Fino family, with plantations in the Portuguese region of Alentejo, has landed at the Universal Exposition. Monte Da Penha has become the official wine of the Angolan Pavilion at Expo Milano 2015, with a selection of four bottles embellished with special labels depicting the patterns of the Samakaka fabrics.
Four types of wine sold inside the Pavilion of Angola
Among the offers of the Monte de Penha winery, the Angola Pavilion offers four different bottles for visitors to buy: a white wine, Montefino Reserva (2014), dry and slightly fruity, 9,000 bottles produced. The other three are red wines, considered as premium: Monte Da Penha Grande Reserva (2005), awarded with two silver medals at the world competition in Brussels in 2012; Monte De Penha Reserva (2009), which received the second prize at the Brussels World Fair in 2014; and Montefino (2008), a full-bodied wine with a floral and fruity aroma. All three red wines underwent a process in oak barrels.
