The exhibition presents the jewelery produced by 200 Maasai women from the Mkuru village in Tanzania, whose stories and works are narrated to the visitors of Expo Milano 2015 trhough a series of videos and interactive images. The collection of jewelery, presented every year by Francesca Torri Soldini, supports a cooperative for handmade productions, thus guaranteeing an income for the Maasai women. The jewelery follows the taste of international fashion, but is made using the typical materials of the African culture, e.g. beads, which are then exported and sold in several countries around the world to support and promote cooperation and development projects of the Maasai communities in northern Tanzania.
