Another lively week has just finished on
The Cooking Show, the TV program which involves Italian and International chefs meeting to exchange dishes, recipes, culture and cooking anecdotes, while also reflecting on the Expo Milano 2015’s theme
“Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life”. The show is shot every day in the
RAI studios inside the
Expo Center, featuring the two chefs of the day, one or more other guests, and the presenter Lisa Casali, the expert on sustainable cookery who creates a new dish using the ingredients left over after the making of the chef’s dishes.
Dishes of the Week
The week began its taste adventures on Monday August 10 with the chef Gianfranco Pascucci creating his Parmigiana di Mare, and Mah Aissata Fofana from Mali, a distinguished cook but also a woman poet deeply committed to the defense of women’s rights in Mali, who prepared a local dish called Fari and Jimbere. Tuesday was the turn of the highly creative Franco Aliberti, who intrigued the public with a dish called Mr. and Mrs. Potato. With him was the Swiss chef Jean-Yann Fuchs, who showed the preparation of his Cousinnet de fera du Lac. On Wednesday August 12 the chef Igles Corelli, always keen to highlight Italian quality, presented his prawn creation Crudo di gamberi di Porto Santo Spirito. Fresh fish again from Philippe Joannes with Rockfish in vegetable escabeche and herbs. Mountain dishes, however, on Thursday with chef Daniele Usai with his Mountain Pine Tagliolino, while Kotaro Noda filled the RAI studios with the perfume of his Turbot, fennel and tomato. A sparkling close to the week on Friday August 14, with the youthful chef Michelangelo Mammoliti and his Summer Abstractionism, who “challenged” the French Pavilion chef Aurélien Gransagne and his creation titled Ritorno da Concave.

If you want to take part in
The Cooking Show as a member of its studio audience, register at the Infopoint in front of the Expo Center, from Monday to Saturday up until 14:30, and on Sunday up until 11:00. The live show takes place every day inside the
RAI studio in the
Expo Center, close to Pavilion Zero,
on Monday to Saturday from 15:30 to 16:30 and
from 12 noon to 13:00 on Sundays
