On Saturday, July 4 a convention of theTreccanisales network was held at Cascina Triulza insideExpo Milano 2015, to celebrate its 90th anniversary. Attended by the Director General of  Istituto della Enciclopedia ItalianaMassimo Bray,Giuseppe Sala, Sole Commissioner Delegated by the Government for Expo Milano 2015,Gualtiero Marchesi,chef and founder of the“new Italian cuisine”,Roberto Arditti, director of Institutional Affairs at Expo Milano 2015,Maurizio Martina, Minister of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies, andCorrado Bologna, philologist, all participated in the event.

The Treccani Encyclopaedia represents the past, present and future of our Country

Brayintroduced the day by explaining the importance of celebrating the 90th anniversary ofTreccani, which tells the stories and values of this Country. Martina talked about the “effort Italy is putting in place withExpo Milano 2015to gather the best of our Country here. And Treccani represents an important example to describe the Italian legacy ”.Salatalked about the challenge of the Universal Exposition "People likeExpo Milano 2015,showing some impressive appreciation levels”.Ardittirepeated how successful this Universal Exposition is, whileMarchesistated “that cuisine must be considered a part of culture too. Just like in the Foundation I have established to gather art, cuisine and music. You must combine synthesis and simplicity in the kitchen and refer to tradition”. The philologistBolognatold the story of the text entitled“The Divine Comedy and the Egerton 943 Code”that was presented to the attendees. “The most important text ever written is being presented here today thanks toTreccanithat brings back to Italy one of the oldest illustrated books that tells the story of the Divine Comedy ”.
